Janet has over twenty years consulting, training and coaching experience, and is a subject matter expert in applied linguistics and professional communication.
Janet is at the leading edge of understanding how informal learning can best be supported in leadership and management development, particularly in the area of role transitions. Janet also uses her linguistic expertise to assist other professionals communicate more effectively at work.
Janet's experience includes five years of coaching and training managers and their teams to improve productivity and work practices in numerous organisations such as Pfizer Australia, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, ING, MMI, Streets Ice Cream, Westmead Children's Hospital, Burson Marsteller, RAAF, Department of Education, Employment and Training, NSW Fire Brigade, NSW Public Works, NSW Health and Energy Australia.
Janet has spent a further ten years interpreting client business needs when responsible for education in the Asia-Pacific Region for an international business intelligence software company, with clients including Zodiac Aerospace, Avery Dennison, Hertz Australia, UBS, Australian Submarine Corporation, Healthscope and St Vincents Health Australia.
At last count, Janet has worked with over 4,000 individuals and innumerable groups in both the public and private sectors, at all levels from CEO through line management and their staff, and in all major industry sectors including Banking and Finance, Manufacturing, Transport, Mining, Information Technology, Health, Government and Education. Her work has taken her all over Australia and also to Thailand, Malaysia, The Philippines and New Zealand.
